L'invitation
Unfortunately I like US humor more than the french humor. I think american movies are good at making you uncomfortable, while whenever french movies try to do this, they just make it outright embarrassing.

Seth Rogen
I can't even lie, for some reason I love Seth Rogen. In theory, he's everything I should hate : a random white guy with semi-charisma that makes ungraceful (some would say distasteful) jokes. In practice, I love Superbad and I find him really funny. I think that's what he's going for though like I don't think I'm special for thinking he's irreverent and funny (UNPOPULAR OPINION ALERT 🙌🤓).
However, I do think that the endearing ending was overdone. If it's going to be awkward, make it all awkward. You've wanted to make me want to die and bury myself of embarrassment for the whole movie : run with it and finish it off like that, damn it. \\ Anyways, 7/10. Artistically speaking, I admire their ability to make me want to bury myself 6ft underground.
